What truly set the tone for REIMAGINING this home had nothing to do with the usual tools of design and decoration. The wife had an extraordinary collection of sculptures, maquettes, and medals created by her grandfather, the sculptor Henry Kreis, a German immigrant who had apprenticed with Paul Manship before launching his own artistic career. To refresh the rooms, we repainted them in a shade of white so ethereal it glows.
