Because indoor/outdoor dining is a major component of the LAS CATALINAS LIFESTYLE, it was important to design an adaptable dining area within the living space so that particular area can serve a variety of purposes. We curtained the outdoor dining terrace to suggest a semblance of privacy since the houses in this walkable community are set so close together. When the curtain luffs and billows in the breeze, it creates both an illusion of air-conditioning and its own background music.
